Game of Thrones Ascent
Social, story-driven strategy game that became a platform for fan community. I joined Disruptor Beam specifically for this project, seeking to be part of creating the next generation of story-driven games.
The Challenge
Needed to port the web experience to mobile while maintaining the community-focused design that made the game special.
What I Did
- UI/UX design for mobile and tablet port versions
- UI development using XCode and Objective-C
- Later directed live operations and product strategy as Director of Product & Design
Impact
The game became more than entertainment—multiple players met in-game, fell in love, and got married. This experience showed me how games can meaningfully influence people's lives beyond entertainment, creating social platforms where fans connect over shared interests.
